Lineage: BBC DAB > HD > CD-RW > EAC > Nero 7 > flac > Nero 8 > TLH (flac 6 + SBE check)
Changes made:
Fixed the normal FM phase offset
Cross-mixed channels (99:1 ratio)
Reduced left channel by 10%
Increased overall volume by +3dB
Slight +2dB bass EQ
Retracked (to the announced BBC set list) to tidy up transitions and avoid SBEs
Artworks are included from comments in the various posts above - can anybody help update them?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I was never happy with the broadcast editing of this concert as it seemed to lack dynamics, but now
I've learnt to use more Nero features, I felt it worthwhile updating it and it does sound even better...
...Enjoy !!
Original Notes >>>
Source: BBC DAB (MPEG-I Layer II at 192 kb/s joint stereo) > Yamaha 1300 audio HDR
Editing: None other than Fade in / out before writing to CD-R
Transfer >wav (Nero 7 with jitter reduction) > Flac Frontend (level 6)> flac
Quality: Digital all the way to you, so EX+ (?)
A great performance from the under-recorded legendary group, broadcasted by the BBC for Miles' 80th
anniversary from the archives of Netherlands Public Radio (NOS) archive, supposedly not broadcast
before. Not much more I can say that Miles fans don't already don't know more
Some may question the quality of DAB transmission, but the BBC broadcasts at 192kHz (as permitted by
Dime) and I have had the opportunity to record broadcasts from FM and then the repeats from DAB.
Digital quality was substantially better than FM and with noticeable reduction of background FM
hiss and implusive noise that enable lower levels of musical detail and ambience to be heard.
My FM tuner gets no use now.

--------
1. Set list is as described in the broadcast and my track markers coincide as best I could
2. db.etree.org lists additional segments so you can take your choice
3. I'm told that ROIO copies of this concert do exist, but unlikely of the same quality as this
4. Sorry, no artworks as I'm not very good at that kind of thing - anybody else?
Usual Stuff:
------------
Please ask before posting on another site
Don't transfer to MP3
Don't sell or do anything else you shouldn't do with this stuff!
