Miles was on the same bill with 'The Grateful Dead', 'Stone the Crows' and 'Clouds'. The April 10 show was issued by Columbia in complete form on 'Black Beauty: Miles Davis Live At The Fillmore West'. The April 11 show is one of my personal favorites. It has some very inspired playing by Chick Corea and Dave Holland. This recording features the only known version of of Corea's 'Sundance/Vamp' by the Miles Davis Band, and the last known version of 'Paraphernalia'. |
